When I click Add Bookmark the bookmark window takes a long time showing up and then starts appearing and disappearing.

I click on Bookmarks in the Menu Bar. Then I scroll to Add Bookmark and click on that. Normally a Window appears allowing me to select where I want the new bookmark saved. Now this window takes a long time to appear if it ever does (sometimes I get tired of waiting). Then when I attempt to put my cursor arrow somewhere in this window, the window disappears. Then it starts appearing and disappearing when I move my cursor around.
