running vista,how can i stop the welcome page appearing every time.

am running vista,firefox updated to the latest version and now every time i start it,i get a welcome screen telling me i'm up to date etc. I have to close this screen every time before i can use firefox.

Firefox button (or tools, if you have the orange firefox button disabled) -> Options -> Change your homepage to whatever you want.
