Firefox No longer accepts Password filling from OnePassword
I am finding Firefox to become less user friendly as time moves on. The latest is that my 1Password 6 app is no longer able to paste my Passwords into the fields on a Web Page. This has become too frustrating, and I cannot imagine why Firefox would do something like this.

This is a compatibility issue, not necessarily a Firefox setting. 1Password 6 and its classic extension are no longer supported, and newer Firefox versions have broken autofill for that old integration. You’ll likely need to upgrade to a supported version of 1Password; reinstalling the old extension probably won’t fix it permanently.
I will not give up my 1Password stand alone self owned version for a subscription based one. I will give up Firefox before I do that. If you factor in the inability to use copy and paste reliably, Firefox is becoming less useful every day.
Firefox started having these problems last week and a lot of financial sites are affected.... I'm having the same issue where Dashlane selectively auto-fills passwords on most sites, but on Schwab, Norton, and American Express, and maybe more (unknown yet), the Dashlane passwords show up for half a second then vanish. I temporarily fixed the problem when I turned Firefox sync OFF and reverted to a previous backup copy of Firefox. Knowing when the problem started, I restored a previous day from iMac time machine. This solved the problem for about 3 days then returned. Dashlane works on other browsers very well, but on Firefox it's very clunky. Firefox will not even accept biometrics for Dashlane like other browsers do. Anyway, I found another Schwab login site that the passwords continue to auto-fill. I still can't use Dashlane on the main login site at Schwab. So I found a work around, but I still have not been able to find a way to use it on the other sites. It's very frustrating because everything was working for a long time then suddenly it just stopped. Passwords appear for a split second then vanish. No one has an answer to this issue, but it has to be a compatibility issue between Firefox and Dashlane. Clearing cashe doesn't do anything. I'm a software engineer and I can not find the problem source. The problem has to be in the compatibility coding or a software conflict somewhere. I feel this is CLEARLY a FIREFOX compatibility problem. Dashlane support INSISTS it's Firefox and recommends to STOP using Firefox.
Angelo,
I think Dashlane support maybe onto something. I used to love Firefox and have been using it as my main browser for many years. Ever since I started to have the copy and paste problems, Firefox has become less useful to me. Now this Password pasting problem has just added to my list of, why do I keep using Firefox? Lucky for us, it is incredibly easy to export your bookmarks and then import them into a different browser. Firefox struggles to get donations, doing stuff like this can’t be helpful.
