How do I turn off yet another anti-privacy feature sponsored by Google Tracking(tm)??? The d* check-box is grayed out; the 'Manage Firefox Suggest' redirects back to the grayed out option. Know your audience.

  1. Are you in the permanent Private Browsing mode?
  2. What is your default search engine?

1. No, clear on close. 2. DDG

Btw, I only checked the main box temporarily, as apparently unchecking that one is insufficient too. So it goes, check-uncheck all-uncheck main.

Trending suggestions in the address bar are referring to DDG then, not to google, and that option is disabled/not functional for this search engine.
