When will the free firefox vpn come to Australia?

Australia has recently passed a boat load of laws and regulations based around internet browsing and needing to verify your age via ID/drivers license/passport/etc to get into some sites, having the free vpn would be great for us to have down under to get around this.

Does it work on the mobile version as well if you are signed in?

Hi

The VPN in Firefox is only available in a limited number of locales and is being progressively rolled out. I do not currently have a schedule, but I hope we can roll it out to Australia very soon.

In mid-June we plan to launch this service in Australia.

And yes, it will later be available in Firefox for Android.
