When I leave Firefox to go to another app then come back, a new tab keeps opening instead of taking me back to the tab I was on. How can I stop it?

When I leave Firefox to go to another app then come back, a new tab keeps opening instead of taking me back to the tab I was on. How can I stop it?

Chosen solution

This is usually caused by Firefox being set to restore a new session instead of the last active tab. Check Firefox settings and make sure it is set to restore previous tabs when reopening the app. Also, try disabling any tab or session-related add-ons, as they can cause this behavior. If battery or memory optimization is enabled on your device, it can also force apps to reload instead of resuming.
