Eclipse webmail being withdrawn but always used Thunderbird to open it on PC. Archive from 2007 saved in Local Folders in Thunderbird on PC. Once Eclipse is gone can I still open old e-mails in local folders ?

Yes, local folders are on your hard drive and not tied to accounts . If your account with them is IMAP, you can copy desired content to local folders to preserve them.
