Look to the left of your address bar on a new tab. I use DuckDuckGo Search, so I have a round orange duck icon there. To its right, between it and the address bar, is a down-pointing arrowhead. Click on that to drop a menu of search engines and other options. At the bottom is a search settings option.
I am on Firefox 142 and my OS is Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon on a Desktop.
