This is the exact same issue Firefox has on iOS as well, described here: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-ios/issues/28421

It happens for me as well: Android 15, Firefox 142.0.1 (Build #2016110943), All extensions disabled and Firefox stopped and started again. Sometimes it works. Strangely. But it is not related to my connection type (Wifi or mobile network).

I have "always open in external apps" enabled.
