How to generate (create?) a bugzilla API key so I can report a Thunderbird crash?
Thunderbird crashed on me last night: "thunderbird killed by SIGSEGV"
The attached image shows that I'm being prompted for an API key. I'm not sure what that is or how to generate one (I presume unique to me?).
I believe I need one in order to file a bug. I can't seem to circumvent it.
Can anyone guide me in the right direction please?

I've never seen this error, but yes, you do need a bugzilla account to create a bug from https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/
Does the error go away after creating an account? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/createaccount.cgi

Thank you. Well, unfortunately I lost the crash report. Thunderbird threw a SIGSEGV, and I had to reboot my system as it appeared that there was some corrupted kernel memory (swap stopped working, swap partitions were no longer recognized, and a few other things).
Nonetheless, I'll create the bugzilla account to be ready for the next time.

Thanks much. I'll try to recover it following your directions and submit the bug report.
