How can I remove the distracting dashed border that sits in the margin of the Compose / Write window? See the attached graphic.

Is there a setting to remove it? Perhaps I can tweak the CSS to make the color match the background so it disappears?

Thanks, @sfhowes. As I just converted to this version, I thought it was part of Thunderbird itself. Shutting off my add-ons in Safe Mode did remove it.

I'll go hunting through my add-ons for the issue and update here with the results.

EDIT: DOH! I had an add-on called Border Colors that was doing it. Adds a top border to the Compose window in a specific color to make it more obvious what account you are sending from. If you don't set a border color for a specific sending email, it defaults to the horrid dashed border.

Help/Troubleshoot mode to run in safe mode and see if the border remains. You appear to have some add-ons that affect the Write window (Signatures, Variables and Other are not standard), so one of them might be the cause.
