Am running 102.12.0 thunderbird portable. have been informed by Microsoft that this does not meet their requirements as from 16 sept. ergo my email will be useless. don't know what they are talking about basically. am really use less with email. Pl help. what do I need to do? is there any updated installation i can download. All i know is that this is something to do with O Athentication but have no idea what they are talking about.

In Thunderbird go to Account Settings then Server Settings and change Authentication method from Normal Password to OAuth2.

In the column at the left of the screen click Outgoing Server (SMTP). Click Edit and in the box that comes up change Authentication method to OAuth2.
