Where did my Firefox bookmarks go?

I just downloaded the latest Firefox browser, and it asked me to import all of the my bookmarks, but it only grabbed the ones from Chrome. All of my former bookmarks that were saved in the previous Firefox browser are gone! Most of my useful bookmarks were in Firefox. Where are they, and how do I get them back?

Check for other local profiles by visiting about:profiles in the address bar.
