Is there a way to make a Firefox tab isolated from other tabs? By isolated I mean that it has no connection to any contents/cookies/etc on any other tab.

Chosen solution

Note that for a single website you can use a Private Browsing mode window.

A major difference between a regular window and a private window is that the private window doesn't use the disk cache and use a separate cookie jar, cookies used in the regular window can't be accessed. All PB mode windows share the same PB mode cookies jar, you need to close all PB mode windows to start with a fresh cookies jar.

OK. That's what I was looking for. The information page for the private window is focused on what gets deleted when you close the PB window. This is of no importance to me. What I wanted to know was how it is isolated and that did not seem to be an important factor to the person who wrote the documentation. But you have answered that question.
