Cookies Have been told cookies were cancelled for Firefox, not a clue, I am 88 and am limited in my knowledge of computers. Please help cause I ahve been locked out of my ability to send cards through J. Lawson

To repeat, in trying to connect to J. Lawson site for sending cards I received a message regarding cookies being cancelled through the browser I am using. As I stated above, I am 88 and have very limited knowledge regarding the computer. I wouldn't have a clue to cancel anything. This has never happened before. Could this be the result of Norton trying to update my "drivers"? Thank you for the help and thank you for fixing this. I do not want cookies deleted or whatever you folks call it. .

Hi, thank you for posting your question. You can follow up at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1420705

You probably are familiar with browser cookies. These are bits of text and numbers that sites can ask the browser to send back with every request (i.e., every time the browser requests a page, image, or other file from the site). If cookies are not being exchanged normally, then some sites may not work correctly.

Here are some suggestions:

(1) In case there is a problem with the web content cache (Firefox mixing old files from a previous visit with current files), clear the web content caching using the steps in the following article:

How to clear the Firefox cache (only select Cached web content, don't clear all cookies and site data)

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) In case the current set of cookies for the site is corrupted, clear them using these steps:

While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.

If you reload the page (using the reload button on the toolbar or pressing Ctrl+R on the keyboard), does the site work now?

If the site still doesn't work:

(3) Try turning off Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection feature on the site, using these steps:

Click the shield icon toward the left end of the address bar (next to the lock icon). On the drop-down panel, click the slider switch on the top row. For more information, see: Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop.

If you reload the page (using the reload button on the toolbar or pressing Ctrl+R on the keyboard), does the site work now?

The next things to check would be: custom site permissions, general cookie permissions, and add-ons. Should we discuss how to check those?
