All extensions are hidden all of a sudden. How do I show all of them without tediously clicking each and every one and select show?

You should have the new extensions button (it looks like a jigsaw piece). If you click the cog alongside an extension or right-click the extension, the first option is Pin to Toolbar. I don't know why your extensions are hidden.

I saw that page, thanks but this is quite a pain. Why hide the extensions in the first place? Is there an option to disable automatic hiding of extensions? This feature wasn't there from the beginning was it? I hate to have to do an additional step after installing an extention.

So the question remains. How to pin all extensions (and disable hiding extensions in the first place)
