Thunderbird crashes on Fedora 33, 34 and 35 when trying to attach files or save attachments

more options

Since Linux Fedora 33 onwards, on Plasma KDE desktop, thunderbird crashes when using the file picker, no matter if for attaching a file or to save an attached file or printing a mail to pdf of saving a mail.

It can open attachments directly (i.e. it can open a .doc file for example on Libreoffice, or a picture or a pdf with wichsoever programm), but it crashes if I try to safe the attachment or print a mail to pdf or whatever action where the file picker is involved.

Firefox does not have this issue. I also did not have this issue on the Fedoras until 32, it began with the 33.

I forgot to add that the issue persists with Thunderbird running in safe mode.
