Every time I am browsing now, whether on phone or tablet or Pc, each time I change a web page Firefox opens a new tab by default. This behaviour is atrocious, each tab open allows the crap advertising to consume my data bandwidth and totally ruins the experience. How can I change this behaviour PLEASE????

Hi

With mobile devices having smaller screens, opening a new tab can help you browse the web more easily.

To help with blocking content on webpages, I suggest that you try the uBlock add-on, available from the Add-ons menu.
