how to stop firefox creating csv.txt files

From a bank I have downloaded a csv file but firefox makes it a csv.txt file wich I cnnot open in excel without doing a lot of work

Can you please advise how I can stop this

Just to clarify, are you using Firefox for Android, or Firefox on a desktop or laptop computer?
