TB 60.3.3 and 60.4.0 keeps crashing on fetching new mails with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Hi everyone,

I am trying to fix a crash issue for my neighbours TB installation. Everytime (at least that's what I was able to reproduce) he fetches new mails from his accounts, TB crashes. After restarting it, new mail is available.

First thing I did was to update to latest "release" 60.4.0. Afterwards I tried in safe mode with disabled extensions.

As I am pretty much unaware of Thunderbird I am not really sure what to check in this case

It was created with the older version as I just sent it via mail and the recent crash report went missing somewhere between two floors. I will update the thread as soon as I have the link for the new one. Nevertheless the symptoms are the same.

sorry for the very late reply. The problem has now been solved by reverting to default sound notifictions.
