As you can see by the date in that report this is a very old crash report from October 2015 from Firefox 38.0.5 and thus won't be of any use.

Don't you have more recent reports?

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

  • Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.

Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  • (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"

Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you uninstall and (re)install or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.

If you keep having problems then create a new profile.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Please provide additional, newer Crash Report ID's so we can see what is causing Firefox to crash right now or in the recent past.

Hi,

Could you please let me know the steps to take the crash ID from my computer and give it to you.

"frequently crashes"??

One crash back on 10/24/2015 isn't "frequent". Firefox 38.0.5 Crash Report [@ shutdownhang | NtUserPeekMessage | NtUserPeekMessage | NtUserPeekMessage | nsThread::ProcessNextEvent | mozilla::ipc::MessagePump::Run ] That is a "shutdown hang" crash that red-flags nothing that we can work with to come up with a probable cause; IOW, no indication of what started that crash besides trying to close Firefox and something in Windows "resisting" the shutdown attempt - no report of what caused Firefox to 'hang' on shutdown was "flagged" specifically.

Are you running the current ESR 38.0.6 version?

If Firefox crashing isn't your issue, please edit the title to this thread and stop misleading the people who open this thread.

As far as "needing Firebug" goes, have you tried the built-in Developers Tools? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Tools_Toolbox

The "need" for Firebug has been largely eliminated as more "developer tools" have become a standard part of Firefox.

But i dont think fire bug is causing this. I think there is some fundamental issue with mozilla which makes my issue. I can even give the control of my computer to you for sometime so that you can wee whats wrong with my Firefox .

Kindly change the question type to "Mozilla not responding when Tools->option is selected". I don t have any issues with the Firebug. FireBug is working perfectly fine. Please help me on this.

Nice edit job on your original posting and the thread title - undoing the correction that I made to the title of this thread after you failed to respond to my request in a timely manner. You managed to "adjust" the entire context of your initial question and the details that you provided about Firefox frequently crashing and that you "need Firebug".

We are volunteers here helping other Firefox users, but I don't like being made to look like a fool - like I am providing answers to something that you didn't mention. I may be an old man, but my mind still works good enough to realize that you changed the question and the details that you initially provided to us. While I do understand that English may not be your native language, your edits changed the context of this entire thread and that I don't like - no more help from me, I am taking my toys and going home.
