Firefox is not a search engine, it is a web browser and uses search engines.
The e-mail you click, where is it? Another browser? Different program?
Open Windows Internet Explorer. Have it declared as the default browser. But turn off the option to check this when the browser opens (If you want).
Thanks a lot for replying. Btw, I'm using M/Explorer. If I already have Firefox running, I don't have any issues, but, perhaps due to the recent 44.0 upgrade (?), if it isn't running than clicking on an email link to a site simply opens Firefox, the circle at the top left continues to go around, and nothing loads (and no error message, etc.).
I made Windows Internet Explorer my default browser, and things worked fine. Thanks!
The issue is that I prefer not to use Explorer (more security issues, or is this a myth?). As you can tell, I'm tech-ignorant (this is the first time that I've even joined a support forum). Any more advice?
Hope its not minded that I ask a question, but have you made FF your default browser in settings? See if that helps opening link when FF is closed, sometimes it takes a while for FF to open when clicking on a link.
Yes, FF has been my default browser for quite some time (and feel free to ask away, thanks).
Perhaps to shed more light on the scenario: I have google saved as a shortcut on my desktop, but when I click on it, the same thing happens -- FF tries unsuccessfully to open (no issues if i first open FF and then click on the google shortcut).
I found something, but not sure if its for Windows 10 not 7, sorry if it is Windows 10
Hi, and I found this as well, as it deals with hyper links in TB
Hope that helps
Tried this, but no change. Looks as if FF was and still is the default browser.
