I want to change the Firefox homepage or default start page, to use duckduckgo search engine. I'm sick of Google! and would like to keep the start page instead of duckduckgo homepage.

Chosen solution

All three "search" features (about:home, Location Bar, & Search Bar, along with the Context menu search feature) use the Default Search Engine - change it to what you want. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-search-bar-firefox-and-manage-search-engines#w_set-a-default-search-engine
