The icon for attachments in my email inbox have disappeared

When I look at my inbox (or any other folder), I can see the icon if I have responded to a message or forwarded a message, but not the icon that the message contained an attachment. That icon was very helpful; how can I get it back? Thank you,

Is the 'sort by attachments' paperclip icon column header visible?

If no, then enable it. Click on the far right 'Select columns to display' icon and select 'Attachments'. See image below.

You can also use the 'Quick Filter Bar' to quickly only show messages with attachments in that folder. Click on the paperclip icon. see second image below.

If the Quick filter Bar is not enabled - enable it. either 'View' > 'Toolbars > Select 'Quick filter bar or via 'menu icon' - see first image below.
