POP3 accounts say "connecting to <pop3 url>..." forever, or display it then disappear. IMAP accounts say "Checking mail server capabilities..." forever. Accounts affected: Outlook POP3 x2 Gmail POP3 x2 Yahoo IMAP Outlook IMAP x2

I do not use any self-signed certificates. The issue began after the install of update 31.5.

Error console shows: Timestamp: 2/26/2015 6:25:04 PM Error: [Exception... "Initialization failed'Initialization failed' when calling method: [nsILoginManagerStorage::init]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/components/nsLoginManager.js :: LoginManager.prototype._storage :: line 98" data: no] Source File: resource://gre/components/nsLoginManager.js Line: 98 and Timestamp: 2/26/2015 6:25:04 PM Error: this._storage is null Source File: resource://gre/components/nsLoginManager.js Line: 383

Options->Security->Passwords->Saved Passwords shows nothing in the listbox, though I've never looked there to know if it should.

Chosen solution

Figured it out: my password store got corrupted in the update. Deleting signons.sqlite, signons.txt, and cert8.db cleared all the passwords and prompted me to reenter them all. Now they work.
