How do I stop Firefox from closing when I close the last open window?

I had to get Windows 7 reloaded and my backup was corrupt (i.e., I couldn't use my customized Firefox.) So I downloaded the newest Firefox and now it closes automatically when I close the last open window. I prefer that Firefox stay open until I choose to close it. How do I accomplish this?

hello 1DKG, do you mean when you close the last open tab? if so you could change it the following way: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab. double-click it and change its value to false.
