When I go to ebay it reboots when I go to replacemydayjob.net it reboots. I was watching videos on a website called homebrewaudio.com. At first they worked fine but then it started rebooting the computer. I am not sure why I can't paste a screen shot on this page to show which plugins I have. I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player and shockwave player that didn't fix it. I think it's this stupid Citrix online web deployment plugin. I can't update it.

When I restart in safe mode I can go to ebay and homebrewaudio and replacemyjob.net, so it seems fairly clear this is a firefox issue.

It says the unknown updates are:

  • Microsoft Office 2010
  • Citrix Online Web Deployment Plugin 1.0.0.104
  • Google Update

It says these are up to date:

  • VLC Web Plugin
  • Silverlight Plug-In5.1.30214.0
  • Adobe AcrobatAdobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.07
  • Shockwave for DirectorAdobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.3.153
  • Shockwave Flash Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0

Thanks for the help,

Earl.

It's most likely not an issue with Firefox but rather some unwanted crapware on your computer.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

This is crazy! I did all the steps you mentioned. and also ran Driver Booster. Then I opened replacemydayjob.net and the computer still rebooted. Do you have more suggestions?

Thanks,

Earl.

Disable ALL the plug ins you never use. ( Put them to never activate or ask to activate.) I think its vlc though.

Wow getting this stuff to work feels so damn satisfying! I disabled the plugins but it still rebooted.

Then I used "about plugins" and went to Shockwave flash for director and this unstable Java installer. I found their .DLL in the C drive and removed the '.dll' extensions. This still didn't take care of it, so again I did restart with addons disabled and I think it finally worked.
