I have been a Firefox user pretty much since it was first released, raved about it to anyone who would listen & generally encouraged friends etc. to switch.

However, since the last update, now on 141.0 64 bit on Windows 11, I find myself using my backup browser -Opera - more & more, even though generally I have always considered it a much lesser browser than Firefox.

Two main reasons for this:

1. Firefox is set to open links in a new Tab - when I click on a link the Tab opens, the little circle-y thing goes round & round for 10-30 seconds, & then - absolutely nothing, just a blank Tab. If I close the Tab before it's finished 'loading' & try the link again - the same thing happens. If I wait till it's finished 'loading' &try the link again it will open th enew Tab & load the page successfully. This doesn't happen every time but definitely over 50% of the time.

2. When using YouTube, search pages will start to load the video thumbnails but then stop after a variable number - the thumbnail titles & link are visible & usable but where the thumbnail should be is just a placeholder. This happens practically all the time & requires multiple page reloads to correct it, & even that doesn't work sometimes.

3. I've had to use Opera to post this as Firefox would not let me access my Mozilla account

I have not added any new extensions since that last upgrade.

Neither of these issues arise when I use Opera so it's obviously not a connectivity or bandwith issue.

I'd be grateful if these issues could be corrected as Opera does not have all the functionality that I like in Firefox but it also doesn't drive me crazy with these issues.

Thanks
