I am having trouble with email strings. I am a retired academic who keeps in touch with long term collaborators. The same group of four discusses different topics. However, as far as I can see, the strings created ignore the different topics but recognise the group. So the strings are unwieldy. As importantly, these strings appear to remove attachments. So, if I want to find an email with its attachment(s), I have to look at the string, find the relevant email, close the string down, and find the original email which contains the attachment. I also find that I have to close the horizontal tabs for each email in the string. i don't know how to delete a string at one go. Perhaps I am missing a trick or two here? Chas
