I can't paste into the address bar. I have downgraded like it was suggested in a different thread, but the paste future still doesn't work.

I think the most likely cause is an add-on conflict. Could you check to make sure your extensions are up-to-date? You can do that as follows:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > "gear" button > Check for Updates

If those are all up-to-date, you may need to try disabling them to figure out whether they are causing the problem. One shortcut to that is to try Firefox's Safe Mode, a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

If you can paste in Safe Mode, most likely the problem is one of your extensions. You can exit and restart in normal mode and disable everything you can live without for 24 hours and see whether that helps.

It was Smart Address Bar that was causing the problem. Thank you for your help.
