Firefox 5.0.1 open a website automatically at a new tab from time to time which is very annoying
I have Firefox version 5.0.1 on MS windows XP. My problem is that Firefox open a website automatically at a new tab from time to time which is very annoying. I have scanned my computer for viruses and malwares using lot of programs but this did not fix this annoying problem.
The websites which automatically open are:

Any idea how to fix this problem?

no antivurs or malware program will pick it up i think it down to the activepacket.dll
this guy mentions the problem http://www.allmoreinfo.com/wow-netcut-defender-2-1-2-with-new-feature.html at the bottom

-> Tap ALT key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
-> go to Help Menu -> select Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:
-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> unselect All Unwanted/Incompatible Toolbars
-> go to Tools Menu -> Clear Recent History -> Time range to clear: select "EVERYTHING" -> click Details (small arrow) button -> place Checkmarks on Cookies, Cache -> click Clear Now
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> General -> place Checkmark on Show the Downloads window when downloading a file -> select Radio Button option2 Always ask me where to save files
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Content -> place Checkmarks on Block Pop-up windows -> click Exceptions... button and click Remove All
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Privacy -> History section -> Firefox will: select "Remember History"
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Security -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Warn me when sites try to install add-ons 2) Block reported attack sites 3) Block reported web forgeries
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Remove Checkmark from Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Offline Storage (Cache): click Clear Now button
-> Click OK on Options window
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious/Incompatible Extensions (Add-ons)
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Appearance section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious/Incompatible Themes (Persona)
-> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons and Themes later. Check and tell if its working.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

-> Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See:
Basic Troubleshooting: Make a New Profile
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
-> If that New Profile works then you can recover your Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile. See this:
Recovering important data from an old profile
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Recovering%20important%20data%20from%20an%20old%20profile
Check and tell if its working.
I have tried that before at the Basic Troubleshooting step, but not working too :((((((
Do a clean (re-)install:
-> Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
-> Uninstall your current Firefox version and Remove the Firefox Program Files folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
- Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
- It is important to delete the Firefox Program Files folder to Remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after Uninstalling.
Check and tell if its working.

The page is not redirecting properly

Check and tell if its working.
If using the scanners that I listed above does not fix it or if you are blocked from installing those scanners then ask advice on one of the forums that specialize in malware removal mentioned in the Popups_not_blocked article.
- "Spyware on Windows": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Popups_not_blocked
activepacket.dll could not removed(from safe mode too), and the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam programs can't catch it :((((
have you unistalled netcut do that first
rename activepacket.dll then you can delete it.(might have to reboot first)
or you deregister it

renaming activepacket.dll causing a problem with LAN connection and I can't access Internet anyway. I think this dll file is not related to the problem.
