"whatsnew" page translation problems

MP chess13

My Firefox is in English, but the new update page is never displayed in English,

https://www.firefox.com/pt-PT/whatsnew/general/?from_main_nav=true&version=155

Problem number 1: It should be based on the installed language.

Problem number 2: It says PT-PT but it's 100% PT-BR, What is "celular" and "privativo"?, sintax does not conform to european portuguese either.

Right, currently missing content from one language region is filled from the region that has the content already translated. If you want to file a bug about this, the right component is bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Mozilla%20Localizations&component=pt-PT%20%2F%20Portuguese

The What's New page should indeed open a locale of your installation. If you go to your Help menu and select "Get Help", which support site opens for you, en–US or pt–PT?

ALL translations in firefox or mozilla products DOES NOT support Portuguese. They call Portuguese what is spoken in Brazil as if this was the language. It is not! In Brazil people speak a variant of Portuguese called Brazilian Portuguese. As I just tried, asking firefox to translate a page to Portuguese, translates to Brazilian Portuguese. In Portugal, we do NOT understand most of it as Brazilian Portuguese does not have a grammar nor a dictionary. It is written as it is spoken: FYI, this have 26 variants, one per state. And it is NOT Portuguese. A brasilian native CAN'T speak Portuguese. They speak as a "crioulo" of Portuguese, which makes it extremely hard to understand. Putting words in a sentence has a meaning and those words must exist in a dictionary. On simple example: Translate any page to English and the result is written as it is spoken in India. Would be difficult for you to understand? Would the meaning of the text be the same as the original? I think not. This problem has been treated like a joke by a lot of entities, and Mozilla is one of them. Because there is a lot of internet pages in Brasilian Portuguese, every one uses them to train A.I. translators. The problem is that everyone thinks that Portuguese is the brasilian language and the rest of the tens of countries which uses Portuguese have a variant of it. This is offensive to all the other Portuguese spoken countries because, in the middle of those, Brazil is the ONLY ONE who does not speak Portuguese even assuming that their official language is Portuguese. They even don't understand each other inside their own country. Please, if you mention that the browser will translate to Portuguese, use Portuguese. If not, say that it is whatever you want but not Portuguese. This is misleading user all across the world. Thanks
