Firefox crashes while browsing sites with video content
Hello there.
Since last update i'm unable to browse websites like youtube, social media and all other websites with video content. Video often fails to load,the wholewebsite is not loading, freezes while played or while exiting full screen mode. All of these freezes the browser - the site cannot be refreshed, links does not work. The only way is to close the tab with the freezed page or kill the Firefox process in windows Task Manager. Refreshing, re-installing, deleting or using different profile don't work. Same with add-ons. Seems like the issue lies within the browser and it started to appear since last update.

Hi. What operating system are you using and if Windows have you tried a [Restart] as opposed to [Shut Down] the later keeps memories last setups and parameters for a quicker startup.
With a new Fx install ensure your C:/users/.. / . . . / ..... profiles folder is empty or change it's name.
Do you use any anti-virus or security software? Like ESET or Kaspersky?
Avast Premium Security.
I don't recall any bugs tracked against Avast with media playback offhand, but does it make any difference if you switch off any web or app protections Avast might have in their settings, or turn the solution off for a while to see any impact?
Since i've posted this i've tried many options, including the antivirus settings, graphic card settings and nothing happened. In the meantime, i thought that i have problem with cooling because graphic editing software performance worsened significantly . After some fixes the perfomance is again excellent, except video play in Firefox
- Issue occurs on every video content on every website - even in short videos like social media rolls - Videos often don't load and it causes the tab where it's opened to freeze. Copying the url and opening it with new tab can be helpful, but it does not guarantee that it will freeze again. - When i close the browser instead of the "frozen" tab it tooks even more than 5 minutes to be able to re-open Firefox - Playing videos in Firefox causes my laptop to heats up very quickly. Even demanding tasks in graphic editing software do not result with such quick overheat. - While connected to external display a horizontal line that splits the video in two can be seen (mostly when dynamic scene occurs)
I'm really out of ideas. I don't know what to do to watch video content without such issues.
Do you want to try running mozregression to try to narrow down "good" vs. "bad" builds if you suspect this has changed with an update?
