I was wondering is it possible to use the built in, free, Firefox VPN to access websites that might be blocked based on location? Such as Imgur.com from the UK, for example?

No, that is not possible. You can't choose the exit node in built-in Firefox VPN. You need Mozilla VPN to be able to do this.
