Recipients' addresses don't fully appear from the address book or they disappear when I click send on an email

For a few weeks now I have been unable to obtain email addresses from my bt address book when sending emails. If I type an address it often disappears when I press send. This makes it nearly impossible to send to a team list.

BT tell me that the email set-up is working well and it must be a server problem. They suggested clearing the history and cache on FireFox which I have done but no change.

Other servers seem to be ok but I don't really wish to change from Fire Fox which I have used for years and well set up.

Please could anyone advise?
