Installation process - what happens
I have just installed firefox on my new computer. I had firefox on my old computer and laptop that are both still running. It has pulled in a list of mostly obsolete accounts and passwords which are listed when I select "passwords" I did not ask firefox to do this. why has it done this. what else may it have done that I don't know about
Chosen solution
I've uninstalled and reinstalled and the obsolete passwords are no longer there. So the problem is fixed at the moment. thanks for your feedback

how did you install firefox? New computer, new install - you had to have supplied that data somehow - you copy a profile from somewhere?
I installed from the mozilla site. I did not knowingly supply the data. The data is obsolete and does not appear on my old desktop. Probably dates back more than 10 years.
The only thing I tried to do was sign in to my account in Mozilla and it told me I had the wrong password. I then did lost password, but stopped at that point after it sent me a code to my email
