how do i open a new tab?

When I click on the plus sign to open a tab NOTHING happens. It will not allow me to open other tabs, unless i click on something opens another website OR i go to history and restore previous tabs...

I have restarted several times made sure everything is up to date. etc. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We have seen reports about a Community Toolbar extension causing this issue with not being able to open a new tab. Your System Details list shows:

  • Installl Converter Community Toolbar 3.21.0.1

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
