Firefox Sync lets you access open tabs across your desktop, laptop and mobile devices that use Firefox.

Before you begin, set up Sync on all devices that use Firefox. See How do I set up Sync on my computer? for more information. Make sure that Open tabs are checked in the Sync settings.

View your synced tabs

There are several ways to access your tabs from other devices on desktop:

  • Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and then select your Mozilla account name. All synced tabs will appear right under the Sign out… menu item in the Mozilla account panel.
  • Use the Firefox Sidebar to access synced tabs. Select the laptop and phone button IG synced tabs in the sidebar to view and manage the tabs.
  • Open Firefox View by clicking its icon Firefox View icon and select Tabs from other devices.

Manage your synced tabs

Here's what you can do with your synced tabs:

  • To open a tab, just click it.
  • To close a tab on a synced device, click the cross button next to it (in the sidebar, you'll have to hover over the tab for this button to appear). To undo the closing, select the Undo button that appears.
  • To see more options, right-click a tab if you use the sidebar or click the three-dot IG 3-dot horizontal button next to the tab if you use Firefox View.
