Error message tells me it can't display a page, I need to update Firefox; I did that last week. No dice.

Hi, My bank tries to open a new page to display certain info (after I'm logged in and have seen the main account page). The new page won't display and the error message tells me I need to update my browser. I updated last week, and there's nothing newer - I just checked the Firefox page to make sure. Called the bank, they just repeat that I need to update browser. Any ideas? I admit my Macbook is quite old, could that be causing a problem? Thank you.

Yes, the macOS version is what limits your upgrades. See similar: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1582867

Thanks for response - I will try the Mac work-arounds suggested. Interesting update: I tried to access the same problem page from my bank on my iPad ( updated to the latest version of Apple - 26. whatever) and still couldn't get to the page I wanted. I didn't get the "update your browser" error message - it just gave me a blank page and wouldn't load anything on there. I'm inclined to think the bank is at fault here...
