How are you trying to do it? https://accounts.firefox.com I can delete my 2nd email address which is the comcast account and then add another email address. Then I can make the new email address my primary. see screenshot You can see in the 2nd screenshot, I could make the 2nd new hotmail account my primary if I needed. see screenshot

I'm sorry, but even enlarging your screenshot to 150%, it is too small for me to read.

Your 2nd message asked for some information. Here are the answers: 1. I don't use 'Save Page As'; I try to save it as a bookmark. 2. My screenshot page does not display a timer; 3. I'm using Windows 10; 4. The Firefox version is 139.0.4 and says it is up-to-date; 5. I want to delete the primary address and change it to another one of my addresses that I had used in the past, but the response I get is that it is already in use. It was - BY ME! Thank you for trying to help me.

Hello,

The reason may be you have another Mozilla account registered for your old email address. Try signing in with that address. If you are prompt to enter the password, not to set it, that means you have an account for the old address. In that case, you may consider deleting it, just remember to make sure you will not lose any important data.

Looking forward to your update!

Thank you for your reply, but I was asked for my password for the other account, without any way to delete the account. Could you possibly explain that procedure? Thank you.

Ok, now we know there is a second account. Please see How to change or reset your Mozilla account password.

Now that I was able to reset and delete that account, for which I thank you, I want to make that my primary account and this one my secondary (in other words, switch them). Can I do that? This account is getting too filled up with information that I don't need on a daily basis... I have 3 email addresses: one for business; one for personal; and one for everything else. Can I keep my profile name if I switch primary addresses? Thanks for your help.

Denys, Since I want the current address to be the secondary address, it seems that we should not have deleted what was the secondary address and then your instructions would have worked... Now, I can't add what is my current primary address as my secondary address. How do I get out the problem we've created? Thanks.

When you make your current secondary email address primary, your current primary address will automatically become secondary. Is that what you are concerned about?

I am no sure I fully understand you at the moment. So, to sum up: 1. You had an account registered for first_address@email.com and an account registered for second_address@email.com, and the initial request was to make second_address@email.com primary for the account with first_address@email.com. 2. You managed to reset your password for the account with second_address@email.com and deleted it. 3. Now, you need to add second_address@email.com (as it is not used anymore) to your (only) account with first_address@email.com and make it primary. Am I right?
