For a specific download, right-click the download link and choose Save Link As.

To set the default action for all downloads,

  1. Click the ≡ Menu Button and choose Options.
  2. Click the General icon.
  3. Under Downloads, select "Always ask me where to save files".

To set the default action for specific file types,

  1. Click the ≡ Menu Button and choose Options.
  2. Click the Applications icon.
  3. Click the drop-down menu next to a file type select the desired action.

I so appreciate your help. But what is the "menu" button now that I have windows 8.1? I have the 4 squares at the bottom but it brings up all that app stuff. I also am adept at getting to the control panel if that helps. If you can describe the icon that might be in my toolbar....or tell me where to go in control panel that would help! Thank You!
