For the last week and a half my emails, only effecting the ones with html, have been “chopped off almost 75 -80% of the email message is not showing. Only way to read the mail is to get a print preview.

So does anyone have a idea what I should do to fix this problem ?

Here is a link to a screenshot of my problem. The left side of the image is the email and the right side is the print preview of the left email. http://imageshack.com/a/img674/3562/OYM3O0.jpg

1. I’ve cleared the cache and browse history.

2. I’ve asked my email provider and also tried another browser. The problem isn’t in the webmail and everything works in another browser. (I tried in IE)

3. I’ve restarted Firefox but all that happened then was that I had to install AdBlockPlus again. And yes my webmail is not blocked by AdblockPlus.

4. I’ve tried to troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode. Same problem with the mail.

5. I’ve tried to find in Firefox support guides if there are any quick fix guides but does not really find anything that applies to my problem.

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to zoom the pages via full page zoom.

You can use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

Thank you cor-el for your advice, unfortunately none of them did solve the problem.

I still can't read or see the entire mail if it's in a html format. If you look at the uploaded picture the left one, the actual mail, doesn't have scrollbar either. It's just chopped off.

Very confusing and it only happens when I try to read mail in Firefox, my primary webbrowser by choice.

Can you scroll the mail if you try to select the full text?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
