The search bar is occluded; when I type it is hidden.
I've just updated Firefox today. Now, on opening Google, the search bar, where one types the search info, is "highlighted". It looks highlighted but in fact, is a blocker, keeping anything typed there from appearing. This forces me to choose one of the drop down search choices instead of defining my own.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
