I cannot send email. I get this same error over and over. I uninstall, and reinstall, the error is still present. Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: Connection refused - [181.215.65.87] blocked by Vade Threat List - ELINK003_101 - https://postmaster-earthlink.vadesecure.com/outbound_error_codes/#_101.

Thunderbird used to work. My POP outbound settings: SMTPAuth.earthlink.net Port 587 Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication method: Normal Password

I contacted earthlink, they didn't help.

after much toing and froing I learned that 181.215.65.87 is register to DataCamp Limited a London-based internet infrastructure and network services provider. I also learned that they frequently provide VPN endpoints.

So I am guessing here that you have a VPN and you mail provider (Earthlink) will not allow you access while using it.
