I think I've tried everything to avoid Instagram opening links within its integrated browser (in-app) directly.

In Android Apps settings : no way. In Instagram settings: no way.

The only way is to ask it EVERY TIME and only AFTER having them opened in the in-app browser.

I want that every link or "discover" "follow" etc, will be opened in my default browser, e.g. Firefox, Firefox Preview, Fenix ... etc.

What the heck do we have to do to this?

Thanks and sorry for my halting English.

Hi Giulio

Have you tried opening and viewing your Instagram account directly in Firefox Preview? Is that a better browsing and viewing experience?

I can't say I haven't tried opening my instagram directly in a browser, but as you can imagine, Instagram has not been created to be appreciated and used in a browser but in the app, so my experience would be absolutely not comparable with the one in the app.

The problem is : there is a way to prevent other major apps opening their own in-app browser: gmail, google itself, facebook. But I had not been able to avoid Instagram opening in its own in-app browser at least ONE page, and only THEN I can ask "open in firefox-preview".

UPDATE: I sent a question to the privacy-manager of Facebook/instagram in Ireland. HTH.

Okay, thank you.

This does sound like an issue that the Instagram support team should be able to help you with.
