I apologize for the unhelpful summary line, but I am totally new to Thunderbird and the Unified Inbox is acting so strangely that I don't have any simple way to describe it.

Many (but not all) of the emails are displayed twice in the list of messages.

When I delete a message that isn't doubled, the message disappears from the inbox (as it should).

But when I delete one of the doubled messages ONE disappears as it should and on the other Thunderbird clears the From and Subject fields and changes the date to 12/31/1969, 19:00 -- the changed entry stays in the list and the body of the email is still shown in the lower pane. The only way I can get rid of the message is by selecting another folder (ANY other folder) then when I return to the Unified Inbox the deleted messages will be gone from the list.

I can't believe that this is how Thunderbird is supposed to work, so I assume I have something configured incorrectly (although nearly everything is still at the defaults that the installation gave me).

Incoming messages are interspersed with old messages without any order. I tried to corrrect this by pressing "date" in the installation column to the right, but that does not help.

Thunderbird: Suddenly links in emails are behaving very strangely. Whenever I click on a link, the Inbox window is selected and the link is essentially ignored.

Any info on fixing this will be greatly appreciated.

Migrating from Gmail to ThunderBird- Do I have/where to get ThunderBird email address if I want to "escape" Google? Also a tad confused as to how Firefox/Mozilla/Thunderbird relate to one another!

I had 12 important draft messages in my "drafts" subfolder of one of my e-mail accounts. This e-mail account is a work e-mail based in Outlook, and I use Thunderbird to download those e-mails to my laptop, and to compose e-mails. The 12 messages in that Thunderbird folder suddenly disappeared, and have also disappeared from my "drafts" folder in Outlook. (The Thunderbird and the Outlook accounts are linked.) I did not change any settings. This has never happened before. Those missing e-mails do not appear in the "deleted items" folder in Thunderbird or in Outlook. It is extremely frustrating and is causing problems at work.

Oddly, my Thunderbird listing of folders still shows the number "12" next to the name of the "drafts" folder. But, there are no e-mails visible in that folder. All my other Thunderbird folders for this e-mail and for my other e-mail are working properly. Please help.

Is there a way to create a Thunderbird account even though your system is not able to log into my iCloud.com email account using my credentials?

I updated to the newest version of Thunderbird. I was having problems authenticating the accounts I have set up (I was required to do this after the update), but finally succeeded. Two of my accounts do not show all of the folders that are in those accounts. The other accounts are fine. When I try to subscribe, the missing folders do not show up even after refresh. The folders are in the web interface for those two accounts, and also show up fine in my phone. I removed the accounts and re-added them, but the folders still do not show up. The two accounts (Frontier) are hosted by Yahoo. I also have a regular yahoo account and those folders show up fine.

I am unable to find the Archive folder. It is not listed when I right click on the account name. All of my folders are there but not the Archive. Any one know how to deal with this?

New Computer and new installation of thunderbird just happened. But now I cannot create more than two subfolder. each trial ended up in subfolder disappearing in Nirwana. Is there a limitation now or didn´t I follow any new rule? Please help if possible. Thank you, Monika

I've moved last week from Microsoft Outlook from Mozilla Thunderbird on my MacBook Pro laptop for managing my e-mail accounts.

I've added an Outlook account (e-mail xxx@hotmail.com) to Thunderbird. However after using Thunderbird a few days I've discovered that some sub-folders in my private folders are missing.

I've added in attachment an image showing my folders on my mobile phone (using Microsoft Outlook) and an image showing my folders on my laptop (using Thunderbird where both 'Bureau' and 'Instruments & Lumières' are missing).

Hi. I have a problem since few months ago about the following fact: when i want to move emails from inbox to a specific folder, i am using "recent destination" option, but the folders doesn't appears anymore in alphabetic order. I have attached a screen shot with "recent destination" list of folders and currently they are not listed in alphabetic order anymore. Can you help me to fix this issue?

I have an email account and a web hosting with a reliable service. I have noticed that from time to time some of my thunderbird emails transfer automatically to my website and appear in the 'posts' pages as 'pending'. The site admin email is different from my email address so in theory this should not be happening any suggestions?

Hello, I have tried to send several email replies using thunder bird but they fail because the smtp server times out. Or cannot be reached. I am a new Starlink subscriber and am wondering if that could have anything to do with the issues. The software is on my dell computer running windows 10. Any help or suggestion is appreciated.
