For unknown reason(s) Thunderbird recently completely deletes any contents in my Junk email folder. This is a problem because sometimes email gets deposited there that is not Junk, and until recently I could mark the status as Not Junk. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

For unknown reason(s) Thunderbird recently completely deletes any contents in my Junk email folder. This is a problem because sometimes email gets deposited there that is not Junk, and until recently I could mark the status as Not Junk. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!

I have been having multiple, and increasing, problems since the most recent update:

  • When I load TBird, it says "No message found" and my mailbox appears empty.
  • After I enter my password, my existing mail appears.
  • Program freezes up if I try to do anything while it's checking for new messages, I can't read or respond to messages until it's finished downloading. (I used to be able to do this.)
  • "Leave messages on server" is set to OFF, but the program frequently downloads duplicate messages after downloading mail. It is also checking for new messages much too often.
  • When I delete a message from my inbox or move one to a folder, all the mail vanishes again and I need to close the program and restart.

All of this is making what should be minor actions take forever, and I'm worried about the problems getting worse and immobilizing me. Would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!

Hello,

I keep getting this error message provided in file attached to this message, saying that "the message could not be sent becuse connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) failed.

I get this error message when I try to send emails from two gmail addresses in Thunderbird, and I can send and receive email fine from non gmail addresses.

I also try to send an email from another computer in the same home network with another gmail address, and I get the same problem. I have already tried to remove and add again my gmail addresses in thunderbird, and problem still occurs.

And when I try to connect directly from the web browser, I don't have this problem, and I also reset my home box, and issue still occurs, can you help please ?

I also double check my outgoing server settings, and I m sure they are correct:

Description: Google Mail Server Name: smtp.gmail.com Port: 465 User Name: mygmailaddress@gmail.com Authentication method: OAuth2 Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Hi, Since my email was updated(thunderbird) when I want to start a new email message when I push 'new email' the new message page pops up. Every thing is there except the send button and the encrypt button is faded out and not operational. I cannot send or forward an existing email that has come in. I can only reply to an email. I have not changed any settings at all and this problem is both on my desk top and lap top as both have Thunderbird email. This problem just recently happened I think from the latest update

I have checked port settings and nothing has changed at all. I really hope someone is able to help. I am not a computor wizz kid. Help needed please. Thanks if you can help

URGENT HELP NEEDED Since yesterday morning(5th Feb) I have been unable to send or receive e-mails. When sending I get the following message: "Sending of the message failed. Peer's Certificate has been revoked. The Configuration related to must be corrected."

A pop- up also started to ask for my password.

Why is this all of a sudden happening and how can it be fixed?

I am using Thunderbird version 128.7.0esr on Windows 11 Pro. I moved my Mail folder (and sub-folders) on my local drive. I re-directed each of 4 email accounts to their new sub-folder. The emails are downloading from the email host's POP3 server. New email messages are not visible in any of the inboxes. The counter shows the number increasing when messages are downloading. Global search does not find the new emails. The new emails show when I right click on any of the inboxes and select "Search Messages" (From/Contains."@"). I tried manually removing the Inbox.msf from one account, but did not fix when I restarted. I tried the Repair Folder button (right click Properties on Inbox folder), but did not fix. I know the emails are on my computer, but I cannot get to them without the very cumbersome "search messages" function. Suggestions?

Is there a way to make a filter, or is there an add-on, that will automatically delete attachments from emails once the email has been sent? I want this to happen as I send the email. Note: I don't want the email to be deleted.

Filtaquila will allow me to detach the attachment to a specified folder, but I want the attachment to be deleted. Both AttachmentExtractor and AttachmentExtractor Continued are no longer available.

Am running Thunderbird version 115.18.0, on Mac OS 10.12.6.

I have set up gmail in pop3 so that it will download gmail messages to thunderbird. In my folders list I have Gmail acccount with inbox folder and also my other email account ***@i....com with inbox folder. I also have gmail set up to receive my other regular email as well as gmail messages. In thunderbird the ***@i....com emails are being downloaded to both inboxes. I used to get only the gmail messages into the gmail inbox and the other messages in the other local folders inbox. Not sure what to do. I want only the gmail messages coming to the gmail inbox in thunderbird.
