When I use webmail, I can see the emails.

Internet connection ist okay.

Whenever I open a message from the inbox into its own window, the message text and images are tiny and unreadable until I zoom (Shift-Cmd-+) them larger. And when I reply to a message, the text is also starts out tiny, but gets larger when I Zoom it up with the original message. Similarly, the column-header icons of the inbox are tiny, while the text is OK.

All the rest of the interface is normal and readable, except for the tiny text and buttons in the interface-command/confirmation boxes.

I have experimented with the suggestions in these question-replies, but to no avail:

I can adjust the font size and density from the "hamburger menu", just fine. And the MacOS 15.3.n-on-Intel settings seem right.

What am I missing? What else is there to change?

Overnight Thunderbird has developed a major problem. The count for the number of mails in a folder is correct, as best I can tell, but when I open the folder it is either empty or has fewer mails than the count. Based on several tests, repairing sometimes adds more mails, sometimes not, but never the entire folder.

I repaired the inbox and it is now showing several mails that I deleted in the last few days (by emptying the delete folder having previously deleted them). Curiously, they’re all the same type, routine mailings about road works.

I may have backup in that I copy the entire Thunderbird folder to an external drive every morning, including today, and to Google Drive every Wednesday.

Please can you help.

I want to send an email to most (but not all) the members of a mailing list - as I used to be able to. In the historic (2015) Help article "How to create and use mailing lists on Thunderbird" the first of 2 methods of "Create email using a mailing list" was "Via the Address Book"; "each contact in the mailing list will appear in a separate To field. This allows you to remove a name, if desired. " To do this, the 3 steps were:- 1 Click Address Book to open it. 2 Select the mailing list. 3 Click the Write button. Using 128.7.1esr (64-bit), step 3 is not available; the 4 options after selecting the mailing list are

  • Edit list
  • Export
  • Print
  • Delete

Is there a way of actually doing what used to be possible before the improvements took place (and IIIBDFI was forgotten?)

I have two calendars on my iPhone, in the Calendars app. I maintain the same two calendars in TB. TB is set to "Show all calendars", and it does show them. If I make an entry in either of the calendars, it DOES automatically sync and show up on my iPhone. But if I make an entry on my iPhone, it will only show up in TB if it is entered into the "My Calendar", but it won't sync if it was entered in the second calendar, even though both of the calendars are active and show on the iPhone. Help!

Hi, I have just set-up 2 new Hotmail accounts & checked them both etc & both are working perfectly through Outlook. I also have 2 old/existing Hotmail accounts that too are working perfectly through both Outlook & Thunderbird. All accounts are set-up in Thunderbird using POP3 using OAuth2 authentification for both POP3 & SMTP servers. Unfortunately, I am having trouble adding both the 2 new Hotmail accounts to Thunderbird. When adding an account & inputting "Name", "Email Address" & "Password" & then enter I receive the message in a green bar stating "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database"............brilliant !!! I then select the "POP3" button & hit the box "Done" Normally, all would be accepted to which I would finally click on the box "Finish" & my account would be added. Instead, I now get an error message in a yellow box stating "Unable to log in at srver. Probably wrong configuration, username or password" ? These are 2 new Hotmail accounts I have only JUST set-up. The details entered are all correct & log me into Outlook with no problems & work perfectly sending & receiving. As for "Configuration" I just let Thunderbird set the POP3 settings as done with the 2 old/existing Hotmail accounts which go in perfectly through Thunderbird. Is there something causing this with new hotmail accounts ?

I just got a new computer for my business and I installed the newest version of thunderbird and my invoicing software QuickBooks 2020. For some reason Thunderbird is not popping up in the "send forms" section of QuickBooks to allow to send invoices to my customers. On my old PC "Mozilla Thunderbird" popped up as an option and on my new PC there no option. I'm still using the same version of QuickBooks as before the only thing that changed is I went from windows 10 to 11 and from a 2020 version of Thunderbird to one I installed on Feb 2025. I tried setting it up manually and i cant get it to work. I also read only that this is common with the newer versions, is there any way to make the newer version of Thunderbird work with QuickBooks? Dear Team After Updating from 102.15.1 (32Bit) to 115.28.0 (32Bit) I can not connect to the provider "pop.hispeed.ch" anymore. Ping pop.hispeed.ch (on CMD) shows normal raction of beeing reachable with a "reply from xxxx.". I am on Windows 7 SP1. I have checked several times all setting POP and SMTP, switched off Firewall, uninstalled virus scanner, and and and many more (all knowledge found on internet..). Pressing the "Get Message" button in the upper menue bar shows no raction when pressed. The icon "Get Message" on the left side of the button "+ New Message" results in a none moving blue status bar at the right bottom of the window. After a while with the message "timed out.. ".In the settings "Config Editor.." the values of "mailnews.tcptimeout" are set to "300", and "true". I am using TB since donkey years with many many eMails. Are the lost? I work with numerous filtres and so far it has worked with no problems at all. From today though the filtres do not work properly anymore. Today when I filtred the sent folder it sent all sent messages to the spam folder instead of e.g. customer folders. Is it an update that has gone wrong? I've checked my filter for spam and that is set correctly for subjects, or senders etc. What can I do to sort out the wrong filtering? Thank you in advance for your help :)

I recently lost all my Stored messages (don't know what I did). I have tried restoring everything from my backup device with no success. My backup data is as follows:- Chris's email 3.2.25 (version 128.6.1est (64 bit) Thunderbird Profiles jb1w6eta-esr imapMail imap.virginmedia.com

My stored folders are there.

I have tried importing using Thunderbird Tools Import From a Thunderbird Installation Choose a Profile folder I have then entered various levels of above backup They all say complete without actually transferring any data.

The current level of Thunderbird I have installed is 128.7.1esr.. Since this is different from the backup could that have an effect or am I missing a step in the import procedure?

I often have open email tabs and come back to them days/weeks later to go through them. Today I was deleting emails not needed to free up some space, restarted the computer, and all my open tabs are blank, both the heading on the tab as well as the tab itself. I have no way to know what those emails were, except to go through a couple months of emails, looking for ones I had open. Any idea how to restore the text in the blank email tabs?

Hello thunderbird support team, Maybe someone can direct me to how fix an issue to create backup my emails and only have my inbox and sent email of this year. (2025) I don't know if I am doing something wrong or is this a thunderbird bug report?

I am using AOL, as my email provider. Goal is the create a folder of each year with all the emails received and sent that year into an archive folder. How I preform this task. 1. I create folders with thunderbird, these folders are then pushed into my AOL email account called archive folders. (works fine) 2. I move (highlight and drag) my inbox emails into a folder by a year, which removes them from my inbox, and this puts a copy of each email into the archive folder that I dragged them too. (works fine) 3. I do the same function (highlight and drag) my sent emails as I did in step 2 above. (deletes all the emails, that were in that folder that were inbox emails (received emails) that I wanted to save.

Here is the question. Why would moving my sent emails to the same archive folder, delete my saved INBOX EMAILS in that were in the archive folder? I lose completely and can't find them, not in trash, only the Sent emails are left in the file after 3 above is performed.

I would have thought that both the inbox (received emails) and sent emails would coexist in the same file! With maybe the sent arrow to identify the sent emails from the inbox emails. I tested this a few times with small batches of emails and each time I lost the inbox email in the Archive folder.

When I created the Archive subfolder for 2023 Sent year see below, (photo) to store my sent emails, nothing we deleted in my 2023 Archived inbox saved emails. Conclusion: for some reason, both Received INBOX and SENT emails can not be combined in one Archive folder? Really? Regards Eric S

I've had this problem for a while on two computers, and through a few versions. I have also created a new profile on one (as the old profile was for some reason locking up every time I used it, and thankfully I use IMAP, so it was easy to recreate).

I have sub folders on my mail server (currently delivered by Exim and Dovecot for the IMAP folder structure) and when I expand the sub folders to select one I am unable to select the top one until I have selected another one. Clicking on it does nothing, but clicking on another and seeing the messages in there, then clicking on it shows the messages. This only happens with the top folder, so I'm wondering if the code is somehow classing that as already selected.

I thought I'd ask here before looking into raising a bug report.

Running windows 11 in S mode, Spectrum email. I had been using Outlook but on 11 February, it stopped working. Wouldn't send nor receive. Webmail works fine. Downloaded Thunderbird. Set up my account and started receiving emails. Went to send an email, and it failed to send. Checked all settings and they match Spectrum's server settings.

Trying to troubleshoot, but struggled with directions on the internet. Tried to load developer tools and nothing happened. Found I could open the error console with keypad. The error console says "Could not start Browser Toolbox, you need to enable it." Could not find out how to enable it.

When I attempt to send email, three messages show up in the error console. "NetworkTimeoutError: a Network error occurred SmtpClient.sys.mjs:476:17" "SecurityError info: SmtpClient.sys.mjs:492:21" Note, no error text was displayed. "Sending failed: ... server (SMTP) timed out.... MessageSend.sys.mjs:341:32"

When I first started running Thunderbird, I remember a certificate error with the Spectrum certificate. I enabled an exception and was able to receive email. Thinking this might be related to the security error on receiving, I wanted to remove the certificate exception so I could see the reason for the security error on receiving. Comments say it is stored in the profile. If I try to open the profile, Thunderbird says profile not found. I found the profiles, but the path to them is not the path listed under Troubleshooting Information\About Profiles.

My primary issue is not being able to send emails. I would also like to know how to remove the certificate exception.
