It's checked in settings, the US english language pack is installed, I did the about:config thing as well and it's still not working. Oh yeah, also used troubleshoot mode - turned off all addons - and still doesn't work.

If I search for something else it comes up in English. I have gone to settings and set my default as English. I have followed all the instructions, but I still get French. How can I change this. I am not French speaking.

I am using Firefox version 150 with the Japanese UI, and I found untranslated text. Please report this issue to Bugzilla. I cannot create an account. The phrase is: "The server at ... is taking too long to respond."

I used to be able to highlight any non-English text, right click it, and choose "Translate Selection to English" to get a popup window with a translation. It would auto-detect the language I had highlighted and then give me the English translation.

As of a few days ago it only defaults to translating from English to Japanese. It no longer auto detects the language I've highlighted, and it no longer defaults to an English translation. I have to manually change the languages in the drop downs in the popup window each time.

Every help article I've found on google says I need to change language options in the settings, but they're all set to English. There's no mention of Japanese anywhere, yet Firefox insists that I want Japanese translations. My PC is also set to English.

Apparently sometimes it can still auto-detect the language since I just tried to make a screenshot and it was able to detect French -> Japanese, although many other times it thinks the Russian (or whatever) text I've highlighted is English.

Whenever Firefox offers or I request a translation it always, without fail, offers Estonian as the destination language.

I deleted all the languages from the app (or whatever) and just downloaded the ones I require but that made no difference.

Why cant I set it to always translate spanish to english??? That option is greyed out and every time i encounter a spanish page I have to manually translate it. Im getting tired of that.

Hello,all, The built-in translation button in Firefox disappeared on the Reddit website.

Please add a fixed access key for the 'Translate button'. I also recommend introducing an automatic website translation function. Thank!

Dlaczego w ostatnich wersjach przeglądarki brak możliwości dodania do paska adresu ikony tłumaczenia strony z innego języka ?.. W poprzednich wersjach, jeszcze nie tak dawno - była ! Podobno ma się ona pokazywać automatycznie gdy Firefox wykryje stronę w języku innym niż ustawiony jako domyślny język interfejsu i komunikatów - nie pokazuje się automatycznie, lub Firefox nie wykrywa języka w jakim wyświetla się strona. Za to - w "hamburgerze" (przycisku Ustawień w górnym prawym rogu) pojawiła się opcja "Przetłumacz stronę" - 1 kliknięcie "hamburger", 2 kliknięcie "przetłumacz stronę", 3 kliknięcie - potwierdź polecenie przetłumaczenia strony .... bez sensu !!! Zamiast jednego kliknięcia w ikonkę na pasku adresu !

Żadne to ułatwienie, czy polepszenie komfortu użytkowania przeglądarki - powinno to być poprawione natychmiast i wrócić do poprzedniej formy ikonki wyświetlanej właśnie na pasku adresu !

I currently live in the UK & Firefox defaults me the UKs common sociatal date format D-M-Y, due to having the language set to British English (GB) but the UK also uses International Date Standard ISO 8601 YYYY-M D & I have used this exclusively for the past 20+ years. My computers OS is set to the international standard.

Is there a way to set Firefox to use this date standard? I'd be happy to set the date region to Japan & have it in Japanese, they use International Standard & I lived there for many years, so that would be an acceptable option.
