Hello, I am trying to manage extensions in my organization. What would be the best way to block all extensions by default and allow only certain specific extensions?
I am following the Mac OS Extension Settings Policy and adding this to a configuration profile, but I am not sure how to manipulate it to suit my needs.
What would be the best way to go about this, and what would the plist file look like?
Thanks!

Hello Mozilla Support Team,
Since one of the last updates firefox Download Setting seems not work properly...
Into Settings > Files and Applications > Downlods > Save files to option is ALWAYS on, even when "Aways ask you where to save files" option box is checked. When I open a PDF in view mode with Firefox, it automatically download it to the location described into "Save Files to"..in my case Desktop. It seems that the "Save Files to" option doesn't gray out when "Always ask..." option box is checked.
Do you have any idea why I can't chose just one of the two options?
Thanks for you help...
Alex

Many websites I use on a regular basis have become unusable on firefox which i have used for over a decade. I can't change my Flickr cover photo because the pop up window is too huge, can't view a complete google doc because the thing is enormous, etc. The issue is that I MUST have the ability to set text in firefox to larger and I do so via the view - zoom in and zoom text only options. I have to have this ability because I have a visual disability. I do not have this issue using chrome but I detest chrome and want to keep using firefox, but entire portions of windows are cut off when they open up and I can't access them by zooming out either. The only thing that changes is the text gets so small that it is totally unreadable. This is a HUGE problem for me. I will NOT change my default windows setting to try and fix a firefox issue because that then screws up my window sizes for games, programs etc for my other software that I also use daily. So I won't be changing what works for 20 programs via windows settings to make ONE browser work better. This is a firefox problem, and firefox needs to fix it. I have tried multiple solutions cited online and nothing is working. If firefox is trying to get rid of it's users with visual disabilities, this is the way to go. Here is an image link that shows the issue on flickr. The pop up should be completely visible and should have a scroll portion to resize the selected image in the lower portion of that circle, but it gets totally cut off and there is no scrollbar to move down, nor doe trying to resize or zoom out on these pop ups help, nothing changes. https://gyazo.com/11dc090e7209c13a3e4cff37246aa6b5 this is how it should properly look / work, pic taken on chrome browser https://gyazo.com/0689a605b7a60857c9c15b9c9fec4a07

Desired behaviour: In Chrome, I can paste or type an email address into the address bar, hit enter, and it Chrome will "Google" that email address.
Firefox behaviour: In Firefox, if I paste or type the email adderss "happy@gmail.com" in the address bar, it takes ages to do anything then says "You are about to log in to the site “gmail.com” with the username “happy”, but the web site does not require authentication. This may be an attempt to trick you."
How do I stop it treating emails as a log in and simply search the email address? Thanks

Hello,
Everything is in the title. I've suceed changing the Firefox icon for another one in different places of the UI but there's still some places where I don't know how... Here's some screenshots in the downloaded images. Tell me if something is possible ;-)
( It all about the purple icon and some purple/pink design that I don't like that much, I miss the plain orange fox and blue earth era...)
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
Ugo.

The date is 2023/08/22 and I am on Windows 10, using Firefox 116.0.2 (64-bit).
I am observing a specific behavior where by certain files, often files which Firefox is well equipped to render, such as Plain Text files, jpegs, and other image formats, are being force-downloaded when clicked on, or when their link is pasted into a new tab. The proof that Firefox is able to display these files is ascertained by way of setting Windows file associations to Firefox itself, and turning off automatic downloads within Firefox, which presents the user with an Open or Save dialog. However, selecting Open does indeed obey the Windows prerogative declared in the file association index, however, the file was still downloaded as an entirely superfluous action, and and then opened by Firefox, from the default "download" directory. This behavior can be repeated in some instances even with images, when right clicking on the image, and selecting "open in new tab", where by the image will be downloaded by that new tab instead of being rendered.
What is the proper methodology to navigate the problem space of this unwanted behavior? The success condition would be Firefox not downloading the file at all and opening it like it is able to do in other instances.
PS: I realize all content is actually downloaded anyway, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to render it. However, this is done in the defined cache folder. I would like this behavior to extend to all files. Excluding, of course, executable binaries, as I understand that design decision is made for security reasons and to allow malware scanners to function properly.
Thank you in advance.

I have Firefox installed on two PCs. I see the option to add "Recommended by Pocket" under Settings/Home, but on the other one I don't. Screen shots of both are attached. I have completely uninstalled, cleaned up all Firefox files and re-installed Firefox multiple times on the PC where I don't see the Pocket option but nothing changes. Also gone into about:config and tried making changes from there. I want the Pocket recommendations to show on the Firefox Home page for both PCs.
Thanks

I have switched from using a dark mode extension to changing the colors in the settings, but it turns out that changing the background color with this function changes all the labels in gmail to be the same as the background color. In addition, it has caused a box to appear around the text in that same color. I would like the labels to show up with gmail's assigned color, and no box around the text.

Hello everyone,
to archieve some good old games, I use an special version of Firefox. Firefox (MyPal): 29.2.0, with Adobe Flash preinstalled, Disk-Cache
For most games it will suffice: After loading all content online, it will be available offline too. But... some audio/video files will be saved in memory cache - %temp%\mozilla-temp-files\*[random-auffix] - instead of in disk cache. After closing session they get deleted and after restart they are saved again, with another suffix.
Sample file: http://arcaneonlinegame.epizy.com/Arcane/frames_files/midi/Ophelia's Journal.mp3 that is shipped with http://arcaneonlinegame.epizy.com/Arcane/Arcane.htm
How can I tell Firefox to permanent save streamed audio/video files, like Firefox does with everything else? In the end the music should play if I open the browser offline too.
Thank you in advance for your help. Drago

I have been using extensions that I wrote. It was already difficult enough that I had to get them signed, but now I cannot even do that without a third party program because of "Two factor authentication". Isn't there some way to get Firefox to work the way you want it too without spending day jumping through hoops? There needs to be a way.

It used to be if firefox crashed or was killed I would get an option to recover last session that would allow me to pick the tabs and windows to recover. This is no longer the behavior as of a couple updates ago, without me changing my settings.
What happens now is the recovery never shows up, so all I have is the all-or-nothing option where you recover the whole session at once from history. No option there to pick what to recover. How do I get the old behavior back? I relied on this to prune sessions when I ended up with too many tabs.

We are distributor of Firefox extension for dragon professional. ( We are self distrubutor of the extension.)
It’s ID is dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com
Now we have done some modification to the same extension, while publishing it shows error as “Duplicate add-on ID found.”
Earlier we have used same ID for the Firefox extension in the year 2018.
Currently we have opened new account with same ID “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” and faced the mentioned issue.
We are expected to publish our extension with the same extension id as we don’t want our existing customers get affected.
Is there any way with which extension id “dgnria_pro.firefox@nuance.com” can be deleted from backend , so that we can reuse it.
